Like all permanent makeup treatments, Aquarelle lips – also called LipBlush implies injecting pigments into the skin, or, more precisely, into the lips. The technician uses a machine with a fine needle to open up the skin of the lips in countless tiny dots. The pigment is implemented into the dermis, giving a color-from-within effect.

The most prominent difference between aquarelle lips or lip blush and the old traditional permanent makeup for lips is the fact that there is no distinctive contouring with aquarelle lips, as the desired result is a soft, blurred effect. Think aquarelle or watercolor paintings, from which the treatment gets its name: subtle transition of shades, luminous, almost transparent colors with no sharp edges.

The lib blushing and coloring treatment takes between 2-3 hours in the first session. After an indept consultation, we mix the perfect indivuidual colour and draw the most sutiable and flattering lipshape for you. Before the treatment starts, if wanted, effective anesthetic creams are applied. Thanks to these creams, the pain felt is minimized. But 80% of our clients dont need any numbing. Then the sequence comes to the application itself. As with all permanent make-up applications, special sterile permanent make-up needles are used for lip coloring. These needles, depending on your lip structure and shape, are injected with 0.3-0.5 millimeters of the skin, placing the selected color pigments. Permanent lip coloring is in fact similar to traditional tattoo techniques; however, the biggest difference between them is that the needle does not go as deeply as in the tattooing process. Also the shading technique is unique for lips and important to acheve the light and natural result as wanted.

Important before the procedure:

• Please take good care of your lips, hydrate and peel them 1-2 days before the appointment!
• Bring in your favorite lipstick or a picture of a coulor you like on the day of your appointment
• Skin must be in good condition (no blemishes directly on the lips, herpes, eczema, etc.) If there is a tendency to herpes, a doctor should be contacted. For this purpose, the intake of aciclovir before and after the treatment is urgently required in order to guarantee perfect healing. L-lysine also helps prevent flare-ups and is an over-the-counter dietary supplement.
• Do not take any blood-thinning medication (e.g. aspirin, advil or similar)
• Avoid coffee, alcohol and nicotine in the hours before the treatment
• Arnica Globules,Cure- started a few days before pigmentation will help in healing.

Please do not plan anything important or sport for the day of the treatment, as redness and swelling may occur.
Note: Increased bleeding and sensitivity to pain during periods!

Makeup is used to draw in the lips so you can see what the final result will look like. This way you can spend the rest of the day admiring your new lips and making a better decision. The additional consultation appointment is billed every 15 minutes and costs CHF 120.-/h. In most cases, 30 minutes (60.-) are sufficient. Of course, a detailed consultation and drawing takes place before each pigmentation. The additional appointment gives you a few more days to think about it, if you wish.
